Attention all parents, friends, families, and teachers in the Needham Community,
The NHS Habitat for Humanity Club is once again planning our Fall Clean Up days in the Needham Community. We wanted to provide you with an opportunity to secure a spot. Be sure to respond ASAP as spots are filling up very quickly!
What is the Fall Clean Up?
The members of the NHS Habitat for Humanity Club will come to your house to rake, clean up, and bag all the leaves in your yard. We ask that you supply the BAGS required for the clean up and that you will be able to dispose of the leaves once we have raked and bagged everything in your yard. We would love any extra rakes, tarps, leaf blowers, or other yard cleaning supplies to help aid in this process.
Fall Clean Up Dates/Times:
Dates: SATURDAYS – November 1st, and November 8th, November 15th, & 22nd
Time: Approximately 9 am – 4 pm (AM Group and PM Group)
Fundraising and Cost:
Fundraising is a major component of the NHS Habitat for Humanity Club. In order to be able to participate in builds, we must raise a large amount ($6,000 +) of money in order to donate to the Habitat affiliates. All the money raised goes directly to the Habitat Affiliates and allows us to contribute and participate in both local and national building projects.
We would like encourage a suggested amount of $10 per person/per hour of work at your house. For example, if we have 4 members come to your house for 2 hours, the total suggested amount would be $80. Cash or checks will be accepted and a receipt will be provided upon of payment. All checks can be made out to Needham High School with Fall Clean Up Habitat for Humanity in the memo. We will also be able to provide you with a Tax ID number as well with your receipt.

Other Habitat Fundraising Events:
Silent Auction – Please join us in late November and/or early December for the Silent Auction. Date is TBD, however this is another one of our most important fundraising nights and we encourage you to come check out the items up for bid. Items include: tickets to sporting events, gift certificates, gift baskets, art, jewelry, crafts and much more. If you are able to help out the club by contributing any items (tickets, baskets, gift cards, etc.), please contact the NHS Habitat for Humanity Advisor, Diana Parkhurst (email@example.com).
