Sign Up for Needham’s Town Alert System

Did you know September is National Preparedness Month? This is the time when different organizations raise awareness of how to prepare for emergencies. The Town of Needham has the Rave911 system. According to the Needham website:

“Needham residents and businesses can sign up to receive important emergency alert notifications and messages from Needham Emergency Services which can be sent to your cell phone, land line and email.  Whether its information related to an evacuation or a shelter-in-place, or about protective measures you could take in response to a wide range of emergencies – such as hazardous materials releases or infrastructure failures – these alerts will keep you updated in an emergency situation.  

When signing up, residents can also choose to share the names and information about people in your household, including your pets.  This information will assist emergency services if they are responding to a 911 call from you.  It only takes a few minutes to sign up!”
