Needham High School makes number 16 of Boston Magazine’s Best Public High Schools

With the start of school drawing near, here’s another reason Needham residents will definitely be proud of. NHS just ranked 16th out of 155 public high schools in the Greater Boston Area.

Needham_High_School,_Needham_MABoston magazine recently released a list of the best public high schools in the Greater Boston Area. The criteria used was data for class size, student-to-teacher ratio, test scores, and more to determine the rankings.

Dover-Sherborn Regional High School ranked first, followed by Lexington, Weston, Wayland, and Newton South.

Here’s how other area schools performed:

• Brookline – 20
• Newton North – 35
• Westwood – 17
• Natick – 47
• Norwood – 81
• Dedham – 83

• Enrollment: 1,664
• Average Class Site: 18
• Student: Teacher Ratio: 14.1
• Percent Graduation Rate: 99.2 percent
• Percent to College: 91 percent
