From the Pollard Middle School Newsletter:

The PTC is pleased to announce that activist, author, and motivational speaker Travis Roy will be coming to Pollard Middle School on Friday, April 27th at 7pm to speak as part of our Community Week programming.

Mr. Roy is a former Boston University hockey player who suffered a catastrophic neck injury in the first eleven seconds of his first shift on the ice as a B.U. player. The injury left him paralyzed from the neck down.
